Kitchen

If you are a budget minded traveler looking to save money on food so you can channel it to adventures, you may find it practical to buy a few groceries and make some of your own meals. Our kitchen has an extra large fridge, a storage basket for each guest and is equipped with all appliances including stove, oven, blender, microwave, coffee pot, and tea kettle.  Coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer are also provided!

It is also equipped with dishes, silverware, cooking pots and pans and everything you would need to cook up a feast if you feel so inclined! You are also welcome to seasonings, spices, and basic condiments as well as sugar and flour and a variety of other sundries.

Lounge

The kitchen and lounge meld seamlessly together at My Hawaii Hostel. The indoor kitchen/lounge space is separated from the outdoor lounge by a sliding barn door. During the day when the door is open, most people will find themselves hanging out on the outside lanai under the sun shade taking advantage of the coastal breeze and cooler temperatures. In the evenings you can eat dinner, swap stories with fellow travelers, play board games, and make plans for the next day.

Bathrooms

All rooms at My Hawaii have shared bathroom facilities. Although the bathroom is co-ed, the toilets and showers are all enclosed in individual stalls. However, if you would prefer there are also two completely self-contained bathrooms each with their own toilet, sink, and shower. We have designed our bathroom facilities to accommodate the maximum number of guests in order to avoid long waiting times.

Storage

We know that for guests traveling with sports equipment such as bikes, surfboards, and paddle boards, secure on-site storage is critical. In order for guests to feel comfortable knowing that their valuable equipment is safe, we have a secure room available for equipment storage. In addition, we have designed our beds with ample space underneath to fit a traveler bike box!
